DRIFT

Summer is slowly starting to fade away. A pretty intense, busy summer, without much time to really stop and catch my breath. A summer just the way I like them. But also a summer that was far too hot, and worrying. And unfortunately, not exactly surprising. I’m rather pessimistic when it comes to environmental issues, but I won’t go into it here. Think about it. Don’t vote for idiots.

A trip to the coast, a little tour of Brittany, a few gravel rides… Two busy months, with one major downside: my festival was cancelled because of the wildfires in Gironde. I look forward to that date all year, so even though the cancellation was obviously understandable, it was still pretty hard to take.

I shot quite a few rolls of film over the past two months. The photos will make their way onto the blog in a little while, once the films have been developed and the images have found their place.

The photographs accompanying this post were taken a few weeks ago. A weekend by the ocean, the four of us. Getting in the van, driving, drifting, improvising… Not really knowing where we’re going, and ultimately not needing to know.

Just following the road.
